2013 Seoul Auto Show University Student Car Design Competition Finalist Winner (Of 170 submitted, 52 scored in the finals)
Well here it is, Ladies and Gentlemen, I proudly present you, my ultimate design, the Xtreem Sluge Backboard vehicle developed by Lotus Cars.
Project and creation of this masterpiece dates back to January of this year when I was coming up with various ideas to fit with the contest's topic (futuristic automobile). As a designer who is still in his teens, I thought about an extreme sports car that would be, unlike other exotics (Lotus Exige S, Porsche 911) would be a lot more affordable, thanks to new uses of materials, such as plastic, for the body and shell of the vehicle.
And of course, in order to make it look as futuristic as possible, I searched for various design cues and elements that would truly give me a vision and insight of a future sports car. and to do that, I decided to cover the front wheels and remove conventional tires (having solely rims) while making canopy window-door-roof entrance tinted in superb green.
As this was a Korean competition, the explanations and introductions are obviously in Korean, So I will translate it for you guys briefly.
Overall this took over 200 hours to do with a timespan of nearly 2 months. Anyways, I hope you guys love it. Thank you
