Porsche Schuppan 962CR Supercar

Description

Porsche Schuppan 962CR Road Version

There is a rumor that this is the third most expensive vehicle in the world, the first being the 1962 Ferrari
250 GTO and the next one being the Bugatti Type 57Sc Atlantic in blue, owned by Ralph Lauren. At a value price
of over $30 million, (But of course, it's just a RUMOR, and that claim is very exaggerated by all means.  The
ultra rare German batmobile for the street was truly and possibly the most radical and advanced production car
(yes, it's street legal and road-certified)

The Schuppan 962CR was a vehicle built in 1994 by Australian racecar driver Vern Schuppan. It was built as a
tribute to Schuppan's 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans victory and 1983 All Japan Sports Prototype Championship title
(Schuppan won both driving a Porsche 956). The 962CR is based on the dominant Le Mans-winning Porsche 962 race
car of which Schuppan raced and owned with his own team.

The 962CR is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive vehicle weighing 1,050 kg (2,315 lb). Powering this rare and exotic
baby is a 3.3-litre Type-935 Flat-6 featuring twin KKK turbochargers giving 600 hp (about 182 hp/L) mated to
a five-speed manual transmission. This unit was borrowed nearly directly from the standard Porsche 962 unit
used in the North American IMSA GT Championship with a slight decrease in displacement. The car's top speed
is 230 mph (370 km/h) with a 0?60 mph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.

And of course, as this is based off from a high performance race car, the 962 CR has very little creature comforts
and is RHD (BUT!, with gear shifter on the right side of the driver like Gruppe C vehicles). Still, the 962CR remains
one of the most outgoing and insane race cars up to this day.

Of course, this exotic German batmobile for the road came out during bad recession of the early 90s (1994) and like the
fall of the Vector W8, Jaguar XJ220, Bugatti EB110, the 962Cr became obsolete, and only 6 were produced with 1 incomplete
car still left somewhere in this world.

I guess another car which we should mention is the Lotec C1000 supercar, which came out in 1995, a year after this hotrod.
And met with the same fate.

All done in pencil sizs HB, 3B 7B and H, 2H, 3H and took 4 hours to do. (I did this in September 2011 so this drawing is
a bit shitty and crappy compared to my new ones if I am being very honest ^^;)

POV:You're a 90s millonaire and you want a Porsche 962 as your supercar

Excellent work with Schuppan 962CR,really unique compared with DP Motorsport DP962 and Dauer 962 Le Mans (with generic 962 headlights)
